"Nothing can cure the soul but the senses, just as nothing can cure the senses but the soul" ~Oscar Wilde
Many believe that spirituality and sensuality should to be isolated from each other and that we must detach from our bodies in order to grow internally, but a truly sensual attitude brings one into harmony with the ebb and flow of nature. When we fully utilize our five senses we are able to integrate more completely with our environment and truly savor the incredible wonder and complexity of life. Applying mindfullness to our sensual nature leads to the physical awareness of our energetic connection with all.

We have to stand firm
"As a camel beareth labour, and heat, and hunger, and thirst, through deserts of sand, and fainteth not; so the fortitude of a man shall sustain him through all perils" ~Akhenaton
Acting with bravery in a situation is an offshoot of living a life of courage, or fortitude. Many live their lives where "feeling good" is the ultimate goal. Such a life does not require fortitude. A truly meaningful life contains both the knowledge of and commitment to the greatest good, which is to be able to love another as yourself. When we can integrate the Divine's love fully into ourselves, we can share it with others and defend it with fortitude.

Shine our Light
"Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light" ~Albert Schweitzer
"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own" ~Ben Sweetland
Sometimes in life we find ourselves in difficult places and not understanding why we are facing such dark situations. Often the reason is so that we can learn from the experience and increase our capacity for Compassion. We can then act as a lighthouse, showing others how to cope by our own personal example. Sometimes the only light they will see will be coming from you.
Make a point today to reflect on how you have grown through adversity and how you can share your hard-won Light with others.

Don´t get stooked
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" ~Franklin D. Roosevelt
"Fear is, I believe, a most effective tool in destroying the soul of an individual - and the soul of a people" ~Anwar el-Sadat
"Fear is the worst form of slavery. If you wanna be free don´t get stooked" ~Juan Algar
We are constantly barraged with stories that feed on our fears. There are two types of fear: healthy fear and unhealthy fear. Healthy fear is necessary when there is a real danger because it leads to constructive steps to prevent harm. It is really a sense of self-preservation. Unhealthy fear simply paralyzes our will to act positively and leads to general unhappiness. It is irrational and is, in reality, merely an illusion. The way to deal with this fear is to recognize the strength that is at the core of your soul and use it to control your mind.

We find joy
"An inordinate passion for pleasure is the secret of remaining young" ~Oscar Wilde
"The essence of pleasure is spontaneity" ~Germaine Greer
Life is meant to be enjoyed. Each day provides us with multiple opportunities to find pleasure in new experiences, new vistas and new friends. For most of us, the majority of these opportunities are wasted because we feel resistant for some reason and shut ourselves off. When we develop a pleasurable attitude, we open ourselves to this bounty and allow ourselves to savor the myriad pleasures in life. This in turn, ripples outward to the other areas, such our relationships, increasing the quality of our life overall.

We Light de Candle
"Hope is the pillar that holds up the world. Hope is the dream of a waking man. "~Elder
"If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream."~Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hope is more than just a belief; it is a way of living. Hope brings to life many other Gifts, such as Trust, Fortitude, Compassion, Patience and Kindness. To accept Hope as a true reality in our lives is to believe in Life itself. It is to rely on the unconditional love that binds all living beings throughout the universe. Ultimately, it is to practice the Law of One. Make it a point to engender Hope in your life and the lives of those you come in contact with.

Together we Laugh
"A day without laughter is a day wasted."~Charlie Chaplin
"Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain."~Charlie Chaplin
Few things are as easy to share as laughter. Laughter is a universal language. When it is born of joy, laughter spreads from soul to soul, skipping over the differences between individuals. Laughter is trans-cultural because it brings us in touch with our most basic common denominator: we are one Humanity. Make a point today to share the joy of laughter with those you meet.

Together we sing
"There is no more sure tie between friends than when they are united in their objects and wishes."~ Cicero
"When spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion."~ Ethiopian proverb
Each of us is an individual note in the music of humanity. When each note is played simply for its own personal reason, the overall sound is one of discord. When we espouse a cooperative attitude, we naturally gravitate to thinking in terms of "us" versus "me". Cooperation is the act of working together in harmony. Think of the music we could create if mankind sang together in brotherhood.

Take your chance today
"I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do." ~ Leonardo da Vinci
"No man's knowledge here can go beyond his experience."~ John Locke
Life is full of magical moments and exciting adventures. There are an almost infinite number of choices we can make to try new experiences and broaden our horizons. All it takes is the will to take the leap after we look. When we cultivate a participative attitude, we open ourselves to the many flavors of life. Take a chance today, try something new and dance the dance of Life!

It´s Time to Act
"Procrastination in the name of reducing risk actually increases risk."~ Colin Powell
"Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go in."~ Napoleon Bonaparte
Many people procrastinate or are indecisive because they have no confidence in their own ability and believe others can make better decisions. Decisiveness is both a skill you can build and an internal state you can summon when you need it. When we practice mindfulness to be more aware of a situation and trust the intuition that comes from our higher self, we can act with confidence. When you develop the attribute of decisiveness, you become the leader of your own life.

Together we evolve
"A wise man adapts himself to circumstances as water shapes itself to the vessel that contains it"~ Unknown
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change."~ Charles Darwin
Life sometimes presents us with opportunities that we do not know how to handle. An adaptable attitude means being open to any new challenge or changing situation, regardless of your background, and refusing to place preconceived judgments on it. Being adaptable can lead to wonderful things; such as new skills or better relationships. You will grow and become more self-confident. You may not always know where a new life situation will lead, but if you approach it with a positive attitude and give it your best effort, you will always come out ahead.
